PFM options
Porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations
When your prescription calls for PFM work, choose from non-precious, semi-precious, and high noble alloy options. Identify the alloy selection on your lab slip so the requested material is clear from the start.
Porcelain butt margins are also listed among our crown-and-bridge services. Include the prescribed margin details and any related instructions with the case. For a question about an alloy or design request, speak with the lab before submitting.

Make the important details visible
Our lab slip provides places to communicate shade, contacts, pontic design, buccal margin design, anterior design, tooth numbers, and occlusion. Use the special-instructions area to explain preferences that need more context.
For a bridge, identify the units involved and the prescribed pontic design. For either a crown or a bridge, include clear material and shade instructions. When something is unclear, we contact the office rather than leave the question unanswered.

Need an all-ceramic or full-cast restoration instead?
See All-Ceramic Restorations for IPS e.max crowns, zirconia, inlays, onlays, and veneers. See Full-Cast Restorations for the metal options in that category.
For implant work, use the separate Implant Crowns page so the attachment exclusion and case requirements are considered from the beginning.
