Inlays and onlays
A place for partial-coverage prescriptions
Inlays and onlays are included in our current all-ceramic service list. Specify the restoration type, tooth number, shade, and relevant contact or occlusal instructions.
Discuss the material selection with the lab for the individual case. Do not rely on a category name alone to communicate a specific brand or formulation.
Veneers
Communicate the appearance you are prescribing
Veneers are also available. Identify each tooth involved and describe the intended shade, shape, and other appearance preferences in the prescription. Use the special-instructions area for details that a shade designation alone will not explain.
Ask the lab about submitting supporting photographs through the case-submission process. Please keep clinical images out of the general website contact form.
Case communication
Keep the material and the design together
A ceramic prescription should make the requested product clear while preserving your instructions for the finished restoration. We contact your office when something needs clarification, and technical questions can be discussed with a lead technician.
For information directly from the manufacturer, the IPS e.max page includes official Ivoclar resources. Those resources describe the manufacturer's product family; the lab will discuss the specific option for your case.
